You were sent to investigate why there has been no communication from the research outpost for several months. On arrival something damaged your ship and caused it to crash land on the planet. You have no idea what happened or where your ship has landed.

Your tasks are clear, you must gather supplies to survive while you try to repair your ship so that you can leave. If possible you should try to make contact with the research scientists and assist them. Your superiors would also prefer that you complete your original mission and collect the research data from the outpost to return for analysis.
